Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Arrival at Ha Noi airport, you will be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel for check -in. Depending on your arrival time, you may take an orientation tour of Hanoi. Rest of the day is at your leisure. Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi Day Tour (B, L)
Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is known for its centuries-old architecture and a rich culture with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At its heart is the chaotic Old Quarter, where the narrow streets are roughly arranged by trade. There are many little temples, including Bach Ma, honoring a legendary horse, plus Đồng Xuân Market, selling household goods and street food.

Today, a full day tour of Hanoi includes Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Museum, West Lake, Tran Quoc Pagoda, Temple of Literature. After lunch time, you will continue to visit Opera House, Cathedral, and Ngoc Son Temple. An hour on Rickshaw will give you an insight of Hanoi Old Quarter called 36 streets. Enjoy the Water Puppet Show in a theater near Hoan Kiem Lake. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Overnight Cruise (B, L, D)
Ha Long Bay, in the Gulf of Tonkin, includes some 1,600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. Because of their precipitous nature, most of the islands are uninhabited and unaffected by a human presence. The site’s outstanding scenic beauty is complemented by its great biological interest. Your Kong Skull Island begins from today….

After breakfast at the hotel, you will take a 4 hour road trip to Halong Bay, sip on a refreshing welcome drink upon check in before  beginning cruise through the bay. Lunch served as cruising among hundreds of islets (Dinh Huong islet, Ga Choi – Fighting Cock islet, Dog islet, Finger islet, etc.) to discover unspoiled pockets of Halong Bay and visit Sung Sot cave, one of the most imposing grottoes of the Bay. Swim at Soi Sim beach or Titov beach or a short trek to the top of Titov mountain for a magnificent panorama scenery. Enjoy dinner with fresh seafood on board. Relax or chatting with friends. Overnight on the boat.

 

Halong 3

 

Day 4: Halong – Ninh Binh (B, L, D)
For early risers complimentary tea, coffee, fruit and cake are served. Visit Luon cave on small bamboo boat paddle by out crew staff and enjoy the quiet atmosphere enclosed by high islets and mountains. Be back to our your Junk. Sail past rock formations such as Man’s Head islet, Tortoise islet, Butterfly cave, Lion islet, Bai Tho mountain, enjoy the tranquil scenery as the boat meanders its way through the bay on the way back to Ha Long city, etc.  Check out on boat at around 10.00 am. Enjoy lunch as boat weaves through strange-shaped limestone rock formations. Arrive back at Ha Long city around noon time for disembarkation, drive directly to Ninh Binh late in the afternoon for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Ninh Binh – Hanoi (B, L)
Located as far as 100 kilometers south of Hanoi is Ninh Binh province, the south extreme of the Red River delta. Inside the province is the grandiose Tam Diep Mountain, connecting the North and the South. The province stretches from the Northwest mountainous area to the delta, thus being called a half mountain half plain area. In particular, Ninh Binh contains 3 main kinds of topography: limestone mountains with fascinating caves & grottoes, the delta raised by Red River Silt, and a coastline with the length of 18 kilometers, enlarging the province area by 100m2 per year. Besides limestone caves and grottoes, Ninh Binh is also popular for the first imperial capital of Vietnam, from 968 to 1010 under Dinh, Le and Ly dynasties, which has resulted in its cultural tourism potential. Also, Tam Coc-Bich Dong, Van Long, Kenh Ga, Bai Dinh, Trang An and  Cuc Phuong national park within the province are desirable destinations for tourists. Your Kong Skull Island tour continues…

After breakfast at the hotel, you will join one of the following optional tours. Overnight in Hanoi

 

Opt 1: Trang An Natural Reserve – Bai Dinh Pagoda
This morning, you will visit the Buddha Sanctuary place of Bai Dinh Pagoda, which is the biggest one in Vietnam with 500 Arhan statues. Change to see a biggest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam with 10 meters in height, 100 tons in weight. You will be given an introduction of beliefs and religions in Vietnam. After lunch, you will continue to Trang An eco-tourism attraction. You will be amazed by neglected area while having boat trip through cave chains: Sang Cave, Toi Cave, Ba Giot Cave, Sinh Cave…experiencing mysterious views of  the so-called “Ha Long Bay in land”. Afterward, return to Hanoi late in the afternoon for your overnight stay.

Opt 2: Van Long Natural Reseve – Hoa Lu Ancient Capital
This morning you will visit the peaceful Van Long natural reserve in Ninh Binh, take a rowing boat to visit this stunning wetland, also a nature reserve of the area. After lunch served at a local riverside restaurant, you will make a short transfer down a peaceful countryside road to Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital eleven centuries ago. Here, spend one hour visiting the Dinh and Le temples of the Ancient Capital Hoa Lu which are dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the founders of the ancient capital during the 10th century. Afterward, return to Hanoi late in the afternoon for your overnight stay.

Day 6: Hanoi – Dong Hoi – Quang Binh (B, L)
You will take a morning flight to Dong Hoi, Quang Binh. On arrival, you will join one of the following optional tours. Overnight in Dong Hoi.

Quang Binh is famous for many charming landscape of mountain and sea. The coast is dotted with blue water, yellow sand beaches that sparkle under forests of green willow trees. Every year, Quang Binh attracts a big number of tourists coming to exciting landscapes such as Phong Nha, Paradise cave, Tien Son caves, primitive forest in Phong Nha – Ke Bang reserve, Nhat Le, Da Nhay beaches, Bang Mineral Hot Spring, etc. Among of them, Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park has been recognized as the World Natural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003. Opt 1: Phong Nha Cave
Phong Nha Cave tour has been regarded by British Cave Research Association as the top cave in the world due to its 4 top records: the longest underground river, the highest and longest cave, broadest and most beautiful fine sand beaches inside the caves, the most spectacular stalagmites and stalactites. Once you reach at the entrance of cave, you will feel like you are entering in the mouth of mountain.

Opt 2: Thien Duong Cave
It’s a dry cave and is called “Paradise”. This cave is 31 km long, longer than Phong Nha Cave. Being British Caving Association considered the longest dry cave in Asia. It is one of the most magnificent and magical wonders in the world. Paradise Cave celestial splendor between mundane title. Under the stairs into the ground, an immense cave appeared as surprise tourists. Compared with Phong Nha cave, stalactites here more diversified, depending on the perspective and imagination that each person sees different images.

Day 7: Dong Hoi – Tan Hoa – Tu Lan – Camping (B, L, D)
You will depart from Phong Nha to Tan Hoa Village, it takes about an hour and half to get there. On arrival, you will trek to visit Hang Chuot and La Ken Valley, then lunch is served in La Ken valley around 11.30. Afterward, continue to visit Gibbon cave and then trek to Hung Ton valley to explore and swim through Hung Ton wet cave. Tonight, you will camp at To Mo valley for your dinner and overnight stay. Tu Lan Cave 1

 

Day 8: Tu Lan Valley (B, L, D)
Today, you will first start swimming through Kim cave to get to Tu Lan valley then trek to Tu Lan Valley. Once there, you will prepare the camp site for lunch. After lunch, you will visit Hang Ken by swimming in the cave. Dinner and overnight in Tu Lan valley.

Day 9: Tu Lan – Tan Hoa – Hue (B, L)
After breakfast, you will visit Tu Lan cave and trek back to Tan Hoa village over the hills. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. You will get transferred to Hue for your overnight stay.

Day 10: Hue Day Tour (B, L)
Hue is a city in central Vietnam that was the seat of Nguyen Dynasty emperors and the national capital from 1802-1945. A major attraction is its vast, 19th-century Citadel, surrounded by a moat and thick stone walls. It encompasses the Imperial City, with palaces and shrines; the Forbidden Purple City, once the emperor’s home; and a replica of the Royal Theater.

After breakfast, you will visit Ancient Citadel, Forbidden Purple City, Tu Duc Tomb and Thien Mu Pagoda. After lunch, you will continue to visit Dong Ba market. Tonight after dinner, you will take a boat cruise on Perfume River and enjoy the traditional folk song. Overnight in Hue.

 

Hue 2

 

Day 11: Hue Departure (B)
After breakfast at the hotel, you will take a short flight to Saigon, where you can continue your tour or take your connecting flight home. End of Kong Skull Island Tour.
